Hello! I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m a writer with my heart in Jesus’ hands. Currently, I’m finishing up high school while getting ready to publish my first novel with Every Woman a Theologian.
I love Jane Austen and Lucy Maud Montgomery, the smell of ink and old books, and living the somewhat hectic life of a student and farmer’s daughter at the same time. When I’m not spending time with writerly people or avoiding the death trap that is my chemistry textbook, I enjoy quoting classics, baking sourdough bread, and cramming my days with books, writing, and forays into the world of imagination.
I’ve been a storyteller since before I could write; I lived dramatic dreamlives wherein I was usually the princess rescued from watchful dragons or the heroic damsel who made herself beloved by all. Having been raised in a hardcore bibliophile family, I adore all things literary and believe that, as Martin Luther put it,
“If you want to change the world, pick up your pen and write.”
However, changing the world is not my long-term goal as a writer. Instead, I want to change individual hearts by filling your soul with light and recalling truth, grace, and beauty to your mind.
Writers like L.M. Montgomery, Lousia May Alcott, and Jane Austen inspire me to create stories that are both beautiful and moral, comic and deep, and appealing to all readers, even if they don’t turn to Shakespeare or the Brontes when they’re looking for literary sustenance. (What? That’s just me?)
I’m so glad you’re here, and I hope you’ll stick around to follow my adventures.

“I do not ask a great a deal of life. Two walks a day, a library, and the occasional fortifying tea. But life seems to amuse itself at my expense….”

Life. Writing. Books.
Those are the things you can expect from my Substack. I’ll be sharing random bits from my life (be it a lesson I learned in school, a song that’s struck a chord lately, or an observation from my family’s garden), pieces of my writing journey (publication, failure to achieve that end, or just an update on how writing’s going), and books (be they my own or somebody else’s).
Follow my adventures!
